Potato a.k.a Aalu is believed to be the King of all Vegetables in India. It is Cooked/Used with almost every vegetable. But Aalu, alone, can be cooked very easily. We'll be posting many a variety of Potato Recipes but here comes the Aalu Masala.
Aalu Masala
Ingredients (1 Serve)
Potato ( Cut in Small Cubes) : 1 medium sized
Onion ( Finely Chopped) : 1 tbsp
Garlic (Finely Chopped) : 1/4 tbsp
Coriander Leaves : for garnish
Henng : a pinch
Turmeric Powder : 1 tea spoon
Coriander Powder : 1 tea spoon
Red Chilly Powder : 1/2 tea spoon or to taste
Tomato Catch-up : 1 tea spoon
Salt : to taste
Oil : 1 tbsp
Method
1. Heat Oil in a non-stick pan and add Heeng. After Heeng gets red add finely chopped Onion and Garlic and allow it get translucent.
2. Add the Potatoes and Toss well or mix well using a spatula.
3. Sprinkle Turmeric, Coriander, Red Chilly Powders, Salt and toss it well.
4. Add Tomato Catch-up and simmer the heat, cover the lid of the non-stick pan.
5. Stir occasionally and Cook it up for about 10-12 minutes.
6.Garnish with fresh Coriander Leaves and Serve Hot with Parathas/Dal-Roti-Chawal.
